Here are the videos that my Game Camera captured over the past few weeks.
Here is what Phil’s game camera picked up over the past couple weeks. The IR flash is not working all the time.

The car is back from the painters and back at home! It is stiiting tall since there is no motor.
I already installed the tires and wheels so she sits pretty. I also installed the gas tank, the filler hose, the gas cap, the tail lights, and the head lights. I started to install the grille and trip, but they sent me the wrong driver’s side grill trip, and I need the hood latch to come in because the grille mounts to it.
I still need to finish installing the grille and bumpers… then this phase is complete. Other than some clean up items… install new hood hinges and bolts, the hood latch.
Te next purchase is the steering and suspension. Here is what’s in the kit I am getting next:
- 1″ drop template
- 1/4″ Poly coil spring insulators
- GT 1″ drop coil springs
- 1 ” front sway bar kit
- Roller spring perches
- Standard Upper arms
- Standard Lower arms
- Strut rod bushings
- Manual Steering kit with roller idler arm
- KYB Front shocks
- KYB GR2 Rear shocks
- 4.5 Mid eye 1″ drop leaf springs with new U-Bolt, front eye bolt and rear shackle kit
- Disc brake kit
The wheel wells have been sprayed with bedliner spray, the frame and underside of the car painted, and the dash and inetrior prepped for paint.
I should be able to pick up the car next week.
And that is perfect timing, as the tires and wheels arrived today. “The girl’s got new shoes to wear!
Base Coat … CHECK!
Stripes painted … CHECK!
Clear Coat … IN PROGRESS!
First few coats of clear are down. Now to sand and buff it down, and the repeat 2 more times!
After 40 hours of body work on the hood, we mounted it to the hinges and tried to close the hood to check the gaps, and with only a small amount of pressure, we heard a “crack” sound and the rear of the hood frame began to separate from the fiberglass.
So now what? Return the hood for a new one and spend another 40 hours of body work on the new hood? Try and get a refund and buy a metal hood and cut it out and bond on a fiberglass scoop?
For now we will try re-bonding the metal frame to the fiberglass hood. It must have been improperly bonded from the factory to separate so easily. Hopefully that will do the trick.
I also think it may be a good idea to remove the hood hinge springs or torch them to losen the springs significantly.
The fenders ansd trunk lid are back on, and the engine compartment painting has begun.
Getting close. Should be ready to lay down stripes by Monday or Tuesday.
We are about a week from a finished paint job!
We have sprayed the sound reading “Lizard Skin” coating on the interior and trunk area, and the ceramic stating to the roof. And the first layer os paint is down. We are also using the sound deadening on the inside of the fenders and inner doors. I am not sure if it will help, but it cannot hurt!
Should be setup for the full paint by early next week!
